끊임없이 노력해도 펜로즈 계단(Penrose Stairs)은 같은 자리를 맴돌게 한다. 끝에 닿을 거라 착각하고 매번 새롭게 시작하지만 모든 것을 쏟아 다다른 곳에서는 같은 시작이 반복된다. 우리의 삶이 그러하며 사랑 또한 그러하다.

정진우는 자신의 첫 정규 앨범 [ROTATE]를 통해 이야기를 완성했다. 다른 감성과 목적으로 만들어진 곡들을 배치하는 데 만족하지 않고 곡의 전개를 통해 자신의 이야기를 펼쳐 냈다. 디지털 세상에서 퇴화되기 시작한 “앨범”이 왜 여전한 가치를 지니는지를 보여주는 보기 드문 명반이다.
