세계음악여행 SSBD[Same Same But Different] 프로젝트는 지금까지 65개국 220여개 도시의 투어를 진행하며 세계에 한국문화를 알리는 것은 물론, 각양각색의 예술가들과 만나 협업을 진행해온 ‘김주홍과 노름마치’가 국내 관객들에게 다양한 문화를 소개하고자 기획되었다. SSBD 프로젝트는 2013년에 시작되어 매년 새로운 문화권의 아티스트를 초청, 우리나라와 기반이 다른 예술가와의 협업을 통해 한국전통음악과 타문화 간 교류의 장을 열고, 그동안 경험해 보지 못한 월드뮤직으로서의 한국전통음악을 가지고 국내 관객을 만났다. 여섯 시즌 동안 협업한 SSBD 라이브 공연을 세 개의 앨범 패키지에 담았다.
두 번째 패키지의 CD3은 2015년 SSBD 시즌 3. ‘대화: Dialogue’에서 터키의 재즈 앙상블 ‘피스퓨즈’와, CD4는 2016년 SSBD 시즌 4. ‘지구 울다: Earth Cry’에서 40년 전통의 현대 타악 앙상블 ‘시너지 퍼커션’과 협업한 음악을 선보인다.
