한국 대중음악계에 전자 음악을 도입하여 선구자라 불리는 윤상의 「윤상 Best」 앨범이 마장뮤직앤픽처스(주)를 통해 2 LP (블랙반) 로 최초 발매된다.

윤상은 1990년 ‘이별의 그늘’로 데뷔하여 폭발적인 인기를 끌었다. 이후 다양한 음악적 시도와 정교하고 치밀한 사운드로 대중음악계에서 독보적인 존재로 자리매김하였다. 현재는 ‘1Piece’라는 프로듀싱 그룹을 결성해 케이팝 작곡가로도 활동하며 전방위한 음악 활동을 펼치고 있다.

정규 1집 「이별의 그늘」 부터 3집 「Cliché」 까지의 히트곡이 모여 있는 「윤상 Best」 에는 ‘이별의 그늘’, ‘가려진 시간 사이로’, ‘넌 쉽게 말했지만’, ‘달리기’, ‘사랑이란’ 등 대중들에게 많은 사랑을 받은 친숙한 곡들이 수록되어 있다.
