가요계에 새로운 활력을 더해줄 여섯 소녀가 등장했다. 2018년 11월 첫 번째 유닛 '플레이버'로 인사를 건넸으며, 이번엔 정식 데뷔 미니앨범 'THE SIX'를 발매하는 파나틱스가 그 주인공이다.
무언가에 굉장히 열정적인 사람을 뜻하는 단어 'FANATIC(파나틱)'에서 탄생한 파나틱스. 자신들의 음악을 사랑해주는 많은 분들을 파나틱스의 'FANATIC(파나틱)'으로 만들겠다는 소녀들의 당찬 각오가 담겼다.
이들의 첫 번째 미니 앨범은 6인조로 첫 인사를 건넨다는 뜻으로 'THE SIX(더 식스)'이다. 파나틱스의 새로운 출발을 의미하기도 하는 앨범이기도 한데, 매번 발매되는 앨범마다 파나틱스만의 새로운 콘셉트에 따라 변화무쌍한 매력을 어필하겠다는 각오다.
파나틱스의 등장을 알리는 조력자들도 화려하다. 플레이버의 프로듀서를 맡았던 낯선이 이끄는 AAP 사단이 앨범의 프로듀싱을 맡았으며 안무는 배윤정이 이끄는 야마앤핫칙스가, 뮤직비디오에는 쟈니브로스 홍원기 감독이 다시 한번 의기투합해 완성도 높은 작품을 탄생시켰다.
특히 파나틱스의 'THE SIX'에는 남다른 의미가 있다. 앨범 수록곡 '지금 이 순간을' 작사에 도아와 해외 멤버인 시카가 참여해 팬들을 향한 진정성을 녹여낸 것. 이로써 파나틱스의 데뷔 앨범 'THE SIX'가 더욱 풍성해졌다.
