따위의 자책들이 켜켜이 쌓인다.
나는 그냥 더 좋은 사람이 되고 싶었을 뿐인데.

발버둥치지 않으면 가라 앉을 것 같은 공포감은 익숙해져도 여전히 피로하며,
이젠 되려 그 공포감이 없는 것이 낯설다.

우리는 끝없이 선망하고 폄하하며, 때로는 누군가를 미워하고 또 사랑 받고 싶어 안달이 나 있을지도 모른다.

더 이상의 ‘새로운 시작’ 같은건 분명 없겠지만,
덧칠을 하나씩 벗겨내가다 보면 우리는 어딘가에라도 닿아 있지 않을까.
가장 안으로 침잠하는 방향이 가장 멀리 갈 수 있는 방향이지 않을까.

그런 고민을 하며 만든 곡들이다.
나는 정말이지 너보다 좋은 사람이 되고 싶다.
