Broadcaster Kwanghee dominated ‘Running Man’ with his bold eye makeup and signature quick wit, reports MHN’s Kim So-young.

The June 28 episode of SBS’s hit variety show ‘Running Man’ featured a thrilling ‘Valuable New World’ race. Guests Kwanghee and actress Lee Se-hee joined the cast in a class warfare-themed competition that transported contestants from Korea’s Joseon era to modern times.

Kwanghee made a splash with his glamorous appearance, quipping, “It’s been so long since I’ve been on network TV, people might think I’m someone else.” When Ji Yae-eun playfully noted, “Your eye makeup is even more intense than mine,” Kwanghee shot back, “I came to make a statement.” The banter continued as Haha joked, “Why are you here instead of Im Si-wan?” Kwanghee retorted, “Pipe down. Why bring up Im Si-wan? You’re getting on my nerves,” eliciting laughter from the set.

Reuniting with Yoo Jae-suk and the cast, Kwanghee faced questions about his hiatus. “We heard you were taking a break from variety shows, but rumors of ‘celebrity syndrome’ started spreading,” they teased. Kwanghee candidly admitted, “I was starving for attention. These days, people stop me on the street asking, ‘Why aren’t you on TV? Did Yoo Jae-suk ditch you?'” He playfully expressed his jealousy, particularly towards Yoo Jae-suk, lamenting, “Did you really abandon me? You’re always hanging out with other young stars like Byun Woo-seok.”

When Yoo Jae-suk probed, “What triggered this sudden onset of ‘celebrity syndrome’?” Kwanghee confessed, “I wanted to live the celeb life. I’ve been hitting up my famous friends’ concerts and even flew out to Coachella.” The revelation of his encounter with G-Dragon prompted Yoo Jae-suk to quip, “This isn’t just ‘celebrity syndrome’; you’ve got full-blown G-Dragon fever!” The witty diagnosis sent the studio into fits of laughter.
