“Not giving an inch to Shin-young”… Seo Jang-hoon’s cautious approach to Lee Hyori in ‘Love War’ exposed

(Variety) JTBC’s ‘Knowing Bros’ turned into a battleground as Kang Ho-dong and Kim Shin-young called out Seo Jang-hoon’s inconsistent behavior, while the cast of ‘Hot Blood Basketball Team 2’ brought their A-game to the variety show.

The July 27th episode of JTBC’s ‘Knowing Bros’ welcomed SHINee’s Minho, EXO’s Chanyeol, Moon Soo-in, and Jeong Kyu-min from ‘Hot Blood Basketball Team Season 2’ as guests, delivering non-stop laughter.

Kang Ho-dong kicked off the show by playfully declaring war on Seo Jang-hoon. “Seo Jang-hoon never backs down with us, but he’s suddenly all meek with Lee Hyori on the new show ‘Love War,'” Kang teased. “Word on the street is he’s ready to lose the ‘Love War’ just to be on the same show as her.” When Lee Sang-min suggested inviting Lee Hyori to ‘Knowing Bros,’ Seo Jang-hoon’s vague response of “Well, she…” only fueled the fire.

Kim Shin-young joined the fray, airing her own grievances. She revealed Seo Jang-hoon’s harsh critique from the previous week: “Shin-young only shines at the start.” Kim fired back, “You won’t give an inch to me, but you’re all soft with Lee Hyori? This means war!” Her outburst sent the studio into fits of laughter.

As the guests took center stage, model-turned-actor Moon Soo-in introduced himself as ‘Seo Soo-in,’ claiming, “I’m Seo Jang-hoon’s son. SHINee’s Minho shared an unexpected frustration: his good deeds going unnoticed. Taking matters into his own hands, Minho launched into a ‘self-promotion’ spree. He recounted winning a military pull-up competition and selflessly giving up his reward leave to the runner-up, painting himself as the unsung hero.

Minho didn’t stop there, spilling the tea on fellow singer Roy Kim, his junior in the Marines. “I went out of my way to visit Roy when he enlisted, even treated him to a nice meal. But has he ever mentioned this on air? Not once!” Minho’s mock indignation had everyone in stitches. Comedian Kim Young-chul chimed in, “Minho once treated me to some sundae soup too!” This prompted Seo Jang-hoon to quip, “Maybe it’s time you started picking up the tab,” sending the room into an uproar.

Jeong Kyu-min shared his rollercoaster experience on the dating show ‘Transit Love 2.’ “At first, people were saying I looked like the rapper ‘Gray’ – pretty flattering, right?” Jeong recalled. “But as the show went on and I somehow became the villain, suddenly I was being compared to ‘DinDin’!” His self-deprecating humor perfectly captured the fickle nature of reality TV fame.

The plot thickened when Jeong revealed an unexpected twist. Whenever he messed up on the show, internet commenters started bashing DinDin instead of him. This bizarre turn of events led to an unlikely friendship between Jeong and DinDin, culminating in a musical collaboration.
