LE SSERAFIM Takes a Stand: Legal Actions Against Deepfake and Defamation
LE SSERAFIM’s Agency Takes Firm Stand Against False Rumors and Deepfakes

LE SSERAFIM’s management is cracking down on false rumors and deepfake video production, according to a recent statement.
On the 29th, Source Music, the group’s agency, issued an official statement: “We have implemented a monitoring system to safeguard LE SSERAFIM’s interests and are actively pursuing legal action against malicious posts based on reports we receive.”
The agency revealed that they have filed lawsuits against individuals who posted defamatory content and false information on major online platforms. Many of these cases are currently under investigation.
Some offenders have received suspended prosecutions conditional on completing educational programs, while others who shared sexually explicit content have been formally charged. Source Music warned, “We will pursue full legal accountability for all ongoing investigations, without any settlements or leniency.”

The agency has adopted a particularly aggressive stance against deepfake sexual crimes. They emphasized, “We have no intention of settling any cases involving deepfake sexual crimes targeting LE SSERAFIM. We’ve recently submitted a statement requesting the maximum penalties allowed by law.”
Source Music also disclosed the outcomes of their legal actions against cyber bullies. They’ve initiated a lawsuit seeking damages from individuals who consistently spread false rumors about LE SSERAFIM on YouTube. The court has acknowledged the YouTuber’s liability for defamation and business interference.
The agency stated, “We are conducting real-time monitoring of major domestic and international online communities, portals, social media, and music platforms.” They added, “We will continue to respond decisively, using all available legal means, against any actions that infringe upon our artists’ rights.”
