Korean actress Ha Ji-won made history as the first from her country to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. The crowd erupted in applause as she delivered a perfect strike.

Originally scheduled for the 21st, Ha's appearance was pushed back a day due to rain. On the 22nd, she finally took the mound for the MLB regular season matchup between the Boston Red Sox and the Baltimore Orioles at the iconic Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts.

The rescheduled event saw Ha Ji-won step up to the pitcher's mound on the 22nd (local time) for the 2023 MLB regular season game between the Red Sox and the Orioles. Despite the initial weather setback, the pitch went off without a hitch.

Ha Ji-won's appearance marks a significant milestone, as she's the first Korean actress to throw a pitch at the legendary Fenway Park. Opened in 1912, this historic venue is a cornerstone of Major League Baseball. The event was designed to blend sports and entertainment, aiming to connect with fans globally.

Accompanying Ha was former MLB pitcher Kim Byung-hyun. Donning a Red Sox uniform, Ha exchanged signs with Kim, who played catcher for the occasion. She then delivered a picture-perfect pitch that hit the strike zone, drawing cheers from the crowd.

After her moment on the mound, Ha didn't rush off. Instead, she joined the fans in the stands to soak in the electric atmosphere of a live MLB game.
