His philanthropic efforts include a substantial donation of 300 million KRW (about 225,000 USD) to Severance Hospital in 2024, channeling all profits from his merchandise sales to a pediatric cancer foundation last year, and an additional 100 million KRW (about 75,000 USD) donation this January.

Comedian Kim Kyu-won has garnered praise for his compassionate actions during and after his social service. He diligently cared for an elementary school student with muscular dystrophy and kept his promise to attend the child's graduation, even after completing his service.
