Big Bang Drops New Single 'BiiiG' to Mark 20th Anniversary

In a candid camping trip celebrating their 20-year milestone, Big Bang members G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung shared intimate stories from their early days and dished on former labelmate Sandara Park's secret romance.

The YouTube channel 'Jipdaesung' released a video titled "Camping with Big Bang" on the 19th, showcasing the trio's camaraderie during their anniversary getaway.

While en route, Daesung reminisced about their hit "Lies," prompting G-Dragon to recall their grueling schedule. "We had so many close calls back then. I don't know how we managed," he mused. Daesung then asked, "Remember when you missed the train because of that persimmon shake?" G-Dragon quipped, "That was totally your fault. I don't even like persimmon shakes!" He added with a laugh, "But I do remember chasing the train in our car."

At the campsite, the conversation turned to 2NE1's Sandara Park's past dorm visit. G-Dragon confirmed the incident, saying, "My version is accurate. I know the guy too. In fact, I think I introduced them. I'm quite the matchmaker." He teased fans by nodding when asked if the mystery man was still in the industry, but kept mum on details. Addressing Sandara's claim that he spread rumors, G-Dragon clarified, "I never even told our members."

The group also shared some behind-the-scenes struggles from their debut era. Daesung recalled, "I once performed at an awards show right after eating spicy potato soup. We were in street clothes and got our makeup done one by one." G-Dragon added, "Back then, we'd wear the same outfit for multiple broadcasts."

Since their 2006 debut with the single album 'Bigbang', the group has churned out numerous hits including "Lies," "Last Farewell," "Haru Haru," "BANG BANG BANG," and "Flower Road," cementing their status as K-pop royalty. Marking their 20th anniversary, Big Bang released the digital single 'BiiiG' on the 19th, proving their enduring popularity by immediately topping the Melon TOP100 chart.
