Former AOA member Kwon Mina has reignited the group's past bullying controversy, taking aim at ex-bandmate Jimin. The timing of Mina's comments, following Jimin's provocative social media post, has fueled ongoing debate in the K-pop community.

On September 26, Jimin set social media ablaze with a series of photos captioned "Chuseok in Hong Kong." The images showcased the singer in a jaw-dropping ensemble: a black corset-style sheer top paired with red shorts and sky-high heels, all accentuated by her flowing blonde waves. Jimin's bold look was further amplified by her colorful full-arm tattoos and a daring kneeling pose that left fans stunned.

The following day, Kwon Mina took to her own social media with a lengthy post, directly addressing her former groupmate. "While a single traumatic event from 11 years ago might be forgettable, enduring 11 years of torment is an entirely different story," Mina wrote, pointedly asking Jimin, "How frustrating it must have been for you, unable to bully me anymore?"

Mina went on to reveal how the alleged bullying had transformed her personality. "I used to struggle with saying no, but now I speak my mind and set boundaries," she explained. In a final jab, she added, "If my very name exhausts you, feel free to run the other way."

The bitter feud between the two dates back to 2020. Mina, who debuted with AOA in 2012 and enjoyed success with hits like "Short Skirt," "Miniskirt," and "Heart Attack," left the group in 2019. A year later, she shocked fans by alleging that Jimin had subjected her to mental abuse for over a decade, starting from their trainee days.

The fallout from Mina's accusations led to Jimin's departure from AOA in 2020 and a hiatus from the entertainment industry. Jimin made her comeback in 2022 through JTBC's competition show "The Second World" and has since rebranded herself as a solo artist.

AOA, which burst onto the K-pop scene in 2012 with their single album "Angels' Story," has effectively ceased activities amid member departures and internal conflicts. Kwon Mina pivoted to acting post-AOA, appearing in dramas like "Queen of Mystery Season 2" and "Revenge Note 2," but is currently on a break from the entertainment industry.
