15 Years Later: ’Love for Sale’ Reimagined in Joo Hyung-jin’s New MV
The film "Love for Sale" has been re-edited into a music video for Joo Hyung-jin's new single

Actors Kang Dong-won and Song Hye-kyo's 2011 collaboration "Love for Sale" is making waves again after 15 years.
Released on the 29th, the music video for singer Joo Hyung-jin's new track "Autumn Night" features re-edited scenes from "Love for Sale." Insiders reveal that Kang Dong-won personally proposed this project for his long-time friend Joo Hyung-jin.
"Love for Sale" is a segment of the 2011 anthology film "Camellia," directed by Jang Joon-hwan. "Camellia" showcases love stories set in Busan, crafted by directors from South Korea, Thailand, and Japan.
Set in a near-future Busan where love is commodified, "Love for Sale" follows two individuals who rediscover love after losing memories of each other. The film marked the first on-screen pairing of Kang Dong-won and Song Hye-kyo, who portrayed a couple in a touching romance.
The duo reunited in the 2014 film "My Brilliant Life," taking on the roles of young parents to a son with progeria, showcasing their versatility as actors.
During the "My Brilliant Life" press conference, Song Hye-kyo spoke fondly of her relationship with Kang Dong-won: "We've maintained a great friendship. He's attentive to details I might overlook and offers valuable advice. He's even more impressive in a professional setting than in our personal interactions."
In a separate interview that year, she noted, "Interestingly, Kang Dong-won is actually more meticulous, detail-oriented, and feminine, while I tend to be more easygoing and masculine. On set, people often joke that we've switched personalities." She added, "We've known each other since 'Love for Sale,' about four years now. We're as comfortable as siblings."
Their professional relationship continued to flourish. In the 2025 film "The Black Nuns," Song Hye-kyo starred as Sister Unia, with Kang Dong-won making a special appearance to support the project.
"Autumn Night" is a reimagining of a track from Davichi's 2016 mini-album "50 X HALF," now revisited after nearly a decade. The new single and its accompanying music video dropped on various digital platforms at noon on the 29th.
