NCT DREAM Tops Ktown4u Weekly Chart Ahead of Comeback with ‘Beat It Up’
(MHN Reporter Lee Yun-bi) NCT DREAM is heating up the scene ahead of their upcoming comeback, claiming the No. 1 spot on the Ktown4u Weekly Album Sales Chart.
According to Ktown4u, a global K-pop-focused online album sales platform, the chart tallied between November 3 and 9 shows NCT DREAM’s sixth mini album 'Beat It Up' in the top position with 18,451 copies sold.
The group is set to officially release the album on November 17. 'Beat It Up' includes six tracks in total, including the title song of the same name.
While their fifth full-length album 'Go Back To The Future', released in July, revolved around the theme of “the direction of time” and revisited the group’s shining past moments, this new mini album focuses on “the speed of time.” It tells the story of the seven members who have chased their dreams at their own pace since childhood.
The title track 'Beat It Up' is a bold hip-hop number driven by powerful kicks and a heavy bassline. Its energetic beat is layered with signature vocal textures and witty section shifts, creating a rhythm that’s both addictive and dynamic. The track opens with a whisper-like intro and features tight rap verses that heighten its sense of urgency and speed.
Lyrically, the song encapsulates NCT DREAM’s trademark energy and confidence, as they embrace their own timeline, break free from societal expectations, and forge their path forward.
'Beat It Up' will be available on major music platforms from 6 PM KST on November 17. A comeback showcase will take place on November 18 at Seoul’s S Factory D Hall in Seongsu-dong, with two sessions scheduled at 5:30 PM and 8 PM.
