NEWS What happens to my refund if I am no longer using my card or PayPal account? 
As long as the PayPal account that is associated with the original card is still open, we can still process the refund to that account even if your card has been lost, stolen, or canceled. 
Unfortunately, we cannot refund your purchase to a different card or account. Please contact your card issuer or PayPal directly if the original account was closed before the refund was initiated.
